About Kenneth F. Crowe — America As I See It
I’m Kenneth F. Crowe — author, husband, and father.
I was born in Alabama. I’ve made my home in Malone, New York, for the last 26 years. Malone is up in Franklin County near the Canadian border, where people still wave when you drive by, where your word still means something, and where you learn to help your neighbor before you’re asked.
I didn’t grow up in Malone, but I chose Malone. After years of working, moving, and learning life the hard way, I found a place that still believes in what I believe in—God, family, country, and hard work. That’s why I stayed.
For most of my life, I worked, went to church on Sunday, and kept my opinions to myself. I’m not a politician. I don’t have a staff. I’m just a man who has lived long enough to see what works and what doesn’t.
In recent years, I watched the country I love start to forget the very things that held us together — One Flag, One Constitution, One Nation Under God. I watched common sense get called controversial. I watched people apologize for loving America.
So I started writing.
America As I See It began as notes on my kitchen table. Then it became letters to friends. Then it became a blog at blogamericaasiseeit.blogspot.com, and now this official website at americaasiseeit.com. Everything you read here is written by me, at my desk, one finger at a time.
I write about freedom, faith, and family. I write about what it meant to say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning and mean it. I write about why the Constitution still matters. I write about small-town life in the North Country, getting older, loss, and why I still believe America is worth fighting for with words.
I’m 76 years old now. I’ve buried a son who lived only two months. That kind of loss teaches you what matters and what doesn’t. It teaches you to tell the truth while you still can.
I don’t write for fame or money. I write because I promised myself I’d tell the truth as I learned it, no spin, no political correctness.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. If you agree with me, share it. If you don’t agree, you’re still welcome here — we can disagree and still be Americans. That’s the whole point.
Thanks for stopping by my front porch.
